By Anne Lewis-Schneider
UK Oil and Gas has bought 6% shares in onshore oil production through Angus Energy Ltd and this makes the transition for this company into the onshore oil enterprise business. Angus Energy owns the majority in Lidsey and Brockham oil fields in West Sussex and Surrey and also in Horse Hill which is due to start drilling soon. 46 million shares will be issued to Stuart Kilnan as payment for the shares.
The chairman of UK Oil and Gas is David Lenigas, who has issued a statement saying that this is an exciting time in the growth of the company as it heralds their debut into onshore gas and oil. Angus Energy is set to get bigger and branch out in the near future with new wells and side tracks planned for their existing fields. Conventional oil production is a new area for UK Oil and Gas.
