Energy Companies are Helping to Achieve the Uk's First AA Rating

A company in Faversham has helped the UK secure the first AA energy rating for efficiency.
In Winstable five apartments have been built with the Newform Energy Hybrid Solar Solution.
This is the first time that Masonry Frame Systems has been used with solar technology.
Newform Energy are based at the Brogdale Farm, and they have combined heat pump technologies and PV-T panels that has produced zero carbon buildings.
This technology has given the development the Standard Assessment Procedure of an AA, this is the first in the UK.
Plus it has given it an Energy Performance Certificate a top rating of an A for energy efficiency and also carbon emissions.
Norman Hinckes a joint managing director of Masonry Frame Systems, said that Newform Energy with both of its products, the quality and level of knowledge and support, has proven to be the perfect partnership, and were now looking forward to working together on many future developments.
Newform Energy has recently obtained funding to be able to continue its growth.
Keith Willett, Managing Director said that Newform Energy takes pride in the pioneering developments of the cutting edge solar technologies to help the eer increasing demand on energy can be met with a renewable source.
He continued that with working together with their trade partners they can help with the reduction on the UK's dependency on energy that is from a unsustainable as well as increasing expensive sources.
The houses are two bedroomed and they are built to Level 4 of code for Sustainable Homes.
The homes have triple-glazed windows which gives them a 0.93 level of air-tightness compared to the average of 3.5.
Most of the flats face the sea, the building is a three story one, and is 97% energy efficient, and the average running costs are expected to be about £175 per annum.
